Acclaimed by many as the vintage of the century. I have selected six left bank and six right bank wines. Plus one bonus bottle.
Including a 1855 Classification, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th growth.
Sorry,the 2005, 1st. growths now cost between $1,250 to $4,500.
Also top holdings from Pomerol and St. Emilion. Plus a bonus bottle,
Many of these wines now sell for over $100.
I have been able to keep the price down by buying many of these beauties as futures in 2006.
The overall favorite was the Chateau Lucia from St. Emilion. For long term cellaring the Chateau Gruaud Larose from Pauillac. To drink right now Chateau Batailley from Pauillac. All bottles were very, very good. We had no bad bottles. Who was the winner, right or left bank? I'm not sure we might have to repeat the tasting.
